INVENTORY CONTROL
Uncle Bill’s is currently seeking energetic, thorough, and enthusiastic pet lovers to manage inventory and related concerns in our company’s stores. We are in search of full-time, motivated individuals to operate towards inventory management positions in our business. Your work adds value through the joy of connecting people to the right pets and pet supplies for them, enriching the lives of animals and pet parents alike. Your strong organizational skills and retail knowledge will set the example for your team while performing various tasks related to managing inventory with extreme accuracy, visual merchandising, stock management, daily inventories, loss prevention, and other operations as needed.
In the store’s fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere it is expected of you to exhibit poise and composure as you learn from each new challenge. You will perform a variety of duties under the supervision of the store manager, physically receive and record shipments and receiving orders, keep operating and order/stocking records, and prepare daily records of inventory transactions.
• 1-2 years of prior inventory / retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, secondary education can be beneficial.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to challenges while remaining composed in a constantly changing, fast-paced retail environment.
• Understanding of retail fundamentals.
• Willing to roll up your sleeves and take initiative with strong work ethic, ability to claim ownership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and an organized, detail-oriented nature.
• Flexibility with scheduling as work hours will vary and be based on business needs.
• Work well independently with minimal supervision in a bustling, ever-changing setting as well as in a team situation.
• Base salary founded on experience.
• Physical demands may include: occasional lifting of objects up to 40 lbs.; long durations of standing, stooping, and/or moving about; may be exposed to moderate noise levels; and potential exposure to allergens.
